Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist, Immunobiology Exploratory

Position summary:

KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated and dependable Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist to join our Immunobiology Exploratory team. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team to discover and optimize novel immunotherapeutic molecules for the treatment of cancer. Our ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative research environment that demands scientific rigor and technical excellence. The candidate will perform experimental activities and analysis, with mentor supervision and feedback. Applicants with a strong interest in immuno-oncology, T cell immunology are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • B.S. (Associate Scientist) or M.S. (Senior Associate Scientist) in biology, immunology, or related field
  • 0-3+ year(s) of experience in a biopharmaceutical setting
  • Experience working with mammalian cell cultures, including established cell lines and primary human and mouse immune cells
  • Hands-on experience in diverse cell biology techniques (cell isolation, proliferation assays, etc.)
  • Experience in DNA and RNA isolation and qPCR.
  • Experience in designing, performing, and interpreting the results of high-parameter flow cytometry is a plus
  • Experience in CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing tools is a plus
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and great attention to details
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interest in research and scientific creativity in small molecule drug discovery

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute in vitro and ex vivo cell-based immunological functional assays to support drug discovery for immuno-oncology programs
  • Collaborate with In Vivo Pharmacology team to support ex vivo analyses from in vivo studies
  • Ensure the quality of the experimental data and their compilation with record keeping
  • Develop and deliver scientific presentations and reports in a fast and efficient manner
  • Contribute to general laboratory assistance, including lab equipment maintenance, ordering, and organizing of supplies
  • Participate in various aspects of small company capability building
