Senior/Principal Scientist: Antibody Developability, Protein Analytics

Description

KSQ Therapeutics is seeking an exceptional and highly-motivated Senior/Principal Scientist to join the Biotherapeutics Drug Discovery group. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the developability assessment of therapeutic antibody leads to enable selection of development candidates, and contribute to CMC activities to support IND-enabling studies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead efforts relating to therapeutic antibody developability, molecular assessment, protein analytics
  • Develop and implement analytical methods to support antibody discovery from lead optimization and beyond – primarily utilizing CROs and also some lab-based activities
  • Provide expertise across functions transitioning from early discovery to lead characterization and product development stages
  • Contribute to various aspects of later-stage antibody development, including CMC & immunogenicity

Requirements

Key Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience (biotech or pharma)
  • Direct experience with development of therapeutic antibodies or other protein biotherapeutics
  • Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of techniques and instrumentation related to protein analytics (LC/MS, peptide mapping, PTM characterization, HPLC, DSC, DLS, biophysical assays, etc.) required
  • Experience with in silico screening tools for manufacturability and immunogenicity assessment
  • CMC, antibody engineering, immunogenicity, or biophysics knowledge highly desired
  • CRO management experience a plus
  • A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for participating across functional groups and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, attention to detail, and team player mentality
