Position summary

KSQ Therapeutics is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist / Scientist to join the Target Discovery group. The successful applicant will use their cell and molecular biology skills to support the development of autologous T cell transfer therapies. This is a unique opportunity to learn and develop in a highly dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.


  • Independently design and perform cell and molecular biology experiments in the lab
  • Contribute to the development and characterization of genetically engineered cancer cell lines, and primary immune cells
  • Support process development efforts for KSQ’s autologous T cell transfer therapy programs
  • Document, communicate, and present experimental hypotheses, data, and conclusions
  • Work enthusiastically as part of an interdisciplinary team


  • B.S. or M.S. in biology, immunology, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience working full-time in a research laboratory
  • Background in cell and molecular biology, with experience in genetic engineering
  • Required hands-on experience
    • Mammalian tissue culture and transfection techniques
    • Genetic engineering technologies
    • Cellular growth assays and phenotyping, including analyses by flow cytometry
    • Molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, and Western blotting
    • Plasmid design and DNA cloning
  • Desired hands-on experience
    • Primary T cell isolation and culture
    • CRISPR technology
  • Excellent experimental documentation, as well as verbal and written communication skills, and an aptitude for the delivery of well-structured scientific presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and team player mentality
