Manager/Senior Manager, Human Resources Operations

KSQ Therapeutics is in search of an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between employees and senior management.

The Manager/Senior Manager, Human Resources Operations is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the key people functions at KSQ. These functions include:

Human Resources & Recruiting:

  • Coordinate offer letters, reimbursement of candidate expenses, and other aspects of recruiting and on-boarding
  • Maintain employee files both in the HRIS System (ADP Workforce now) and all systems and people-related documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, policies, benefits issues, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and the reporting obligations related to those laws and regulations.


  • Accurately process payroll to ensure proper payment of employee wages and compliance with federal and state tax regulations. Includes bi-weekly pay, Incentive Compensation, other special pay actions and appropriate adjustments for proration, benefits elections and tax changes, etc.
  • Manage FSA and HRA accounts
  • Manage vacation tracking in ADP and provide reporting to accounting for monthly vacation accrual adjustment
  • Coordinate with accounting on the proper recording of Payroll in the financial system, including reconciliation of Payroll-related cash movements
  • Coordinate annual reporting W2's, ACA, Federal, State and standard filings


  • Manage enrollment processes and paperwork for new employees, changes to benefits elections, and annual open enrollment
  • Administer employee-focused programs, including but not limited to, service awards, parking administration, Company meeting and social hours.
  • Maintain updates, processes changes and communicate with auditors related to the company 401K plan
  • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
  • Review and verify billings and invoices from benefits providers
  • Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company


  • Bachelor degree and 5+ years related HR and Payroll experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll and benefits regulations and requirements.
  • Proven track record of reliability and responsibility. Detail oriented, strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Payroll systems, HRIS systems, etc.)
  • Must be discreet, able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
  • Ability to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization and consistently provide superior customer service.
