Associate Scientist, ImmunoBiology Target Discovery/Validation

Position summary

KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Associate Scientist, Target Discovery/Validation in the Immunobiology group to apply their experience in immunology towards the development of the next generation of impactful immunotherapies. This person will contribute to both target discovery and target validation efforts as well as in supporting our pre-clinical Immuno-Oncology small and large molecule portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Support KSQ Target Identification and validation platform
  • Contribute to Immuno-Oncology drug discovery programs
  • Design and independently perform experiments in the lab
  • Document, communicate, and present experimental hypotheses, data, and conclusions
  • Work enthusiastically as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in various aspects of small company capability building

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in biology, immunology, or relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience working full-time in a research laboratory
  • Required hands-on experience
    • Primary cell culture
    • Diverse cell biology techniques including cell isolation/enrichment
    • Standard immunological cell assays and phenotyping, including analyses by flow cytometry
  • Desired hands-on experience
    • Molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, and Western blotting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for participating across functional groups
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, attention to detail, and team player mentality
