KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology position in Cambridge, MA. KSQ Therapeutics has built an industry-leading genome-scale precision functional genomics platform, called CRISPRomics, to pinpoint therapeutic nodes that directly correlate genomic function to disease with unprecedented certainty and speed. The company is deploying CRISPRomics for novel drug development across broad therapeutic areas and is advancing a proprietary pipeline of tumor- and immune-focused drug candidates for oncology. KSQ was founded by thought leaders in the field of functional genomics and pioneers of CRISPR screening technologies. The company is located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Position Summary

We seek a motivated and team-oriented individual who will be a key contributor to the overall success of KSQ’s in vivo pharmacology department.  The successful candidate will contribute hands-on technical expertise for all aspects of in vivo pharmacology including tumor xenograft, MTD, and PK/PD studies to help evaluate the pharmacology of novel therapeutic agents.

Key Qualifications

Requires a PhD with 0-3 years industry experience or BS/MS in Pharmacology or another relevant discipline with 8+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry with the following:

  • Independently design, organize and execute in vivo studies to evaluate tolerability, efficacy and mechanism of action of therapeutic agents.
  • Strong in vivo oncology model experience including cell culture, compound preparation and administration (e.g. i.v., s.c, p.o.), tumor xenograft implantation and measurement.
  • Proven ability in the management and execution of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics studies. Including multiple methods of sampling and ex vivo sample preparation.
  • Experience in orthotopic, PDX, humanized and mouse syngeneic xenograft models.
  • Proven ability as an effective member on drug discovery teams including management of multiple in vivo internal and CRO based activities.
  • Ex vivo flow cytometry experience is desirable.


  • Be responsible for data entry and analysis from all studies in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate experimental results to manager and a wider audience when required.
  • Work collaboratively within department and across departments to effectively achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Be the in vivo representative on large/small molecule drug discovery teams.
  • Understand and implement applicable regulations around animal care/safety/handling.
  • Be high energy and open-minded while working in a collaborative, innovative and fun environment.
