KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. has several openings for a Senior Scientist, Autoimmunity position in Cambridge, MA. Position Summary

KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Senior Scientist, Autoimmunity to apply functional genomics towards the identification and characterization of novel drug targets for therapeutic intervention in inflammatory and autoimmune disease. This individual will contribute to the development of in vitro and in vivo model systems that enable querying immune-related disease pathways using CRISPR/Cas9 functional genomic screens, and will contribute to drug discovery efforts as needed.  The new team member will join a dynamic, enthusiastic, highly interdisciplinary, and collaborative team.

Key Qualifications

  • PhD in immunology or related discipline with postdoctoral fellowship
  • A strong publication record in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals in the areas of inflammation, autoimmunity, or immuno-oncology
  • 0-3 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical setting
  • Experience participating on pre-clinical drug discovery projects a plus
  • Expertise in standard immunological laboratory techniques required, including in vitro manipulation and functional readouts of mouse and human lymphocyte populations and in vivo mouse autoimmune model expertise
  • Experience in CRISPR/Cas9 editing and performing functional genomics screens in lymphocytes desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for participating across functional groups and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, attention to detail, and team player mentality


  • Provide technical leadership across immunology target discovery, validation and drug discovery projects
  • Interface with internal functional groups and external CRO collaborators
  • Extend internal immunology capabilities through external industrial and academic collaborations
  • Develop and deliver scientific presentations and reports in a fast and efficient manner
  • Participate in various aspects of small company capability building
