KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Director: Head of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics position in Cambridge, MA. KSQ Therapeutics has built an industry-leading genome-scale precision functional genomics platform, called CRISPRomics, to pinpoint therapeutic nodes that directly correlate genomic function to disease with unprecedented certainty and speed. The company is deploying CRISPRomics for novel drug development across broad therapeutic areas and is advancing a proprietary pipeline of tumor- and immune-focused drug candidates for oncology. Position Summary

KSQ Therapeutics is seeking an exceptional, innovative and highly motivated Senior Director: Head of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics to establish and build a hybrid organization who will be responsible for enabling KSQ’s drug discovery portfolio.  The candidate should have a demonstrated history of building and leading teams as well as substantial experience working with external CRO partners.  This person will have established an extensive track record of leading NCE project teams from discovery to development and clinical stages.  This individual will be an experienced ADME and DMPK professional with expertise in small molecule drug metabolism, transporter, pharmacokinetic and bioanalysis.  In addition, the ideal candidate would also have a substantial knowledge of large molecule ADME and DMPK to enable KSQ’s emerging NBE portfolio.  This person will have responsibility to create and maintain a budget within the NCE drug discovery organization, be expected to exert broad influence across the organization, both scientifically and strategically, in addition to ensuring the successful growth of a strong portfolio of novel drug candidates. The successful individual will join a dynamic, enthusiastic, interdisciplinary, and collaborative team of scientists.

Key Qualifications

  • PhD in pharmaceutical sciences with 15+ years of industry experience in NCE ADME and pharmacokinetics
  • Proven ability to build and lead a world-class organization composed of internal and external resources
  • Extensive experience interfacing with, and providing scientific guidance to, CRO partners and proven ability to work efficiently in a hybrid model
  • Demonstrated expertise and a track record of success in leading discovery programs from discovery, development and into clinical trials.
  • Broad expertise in small molecule drug metabolism, transporter, pharmacokinetic and bioanalysis
  • Substantial knowledge of NBE ADME and DMPK would be an asset
  • A track record of communicating scientific concepts and strategies effectively, including a publication record in top-tier, peer reviewed journals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to work with the leadership team, within a portfolio of project teams, across functions, and within academic and industry collaborations
  • Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and team player mentality is a must.


  • Responsible and accountable for establishing ADME and DMPK infrastructure in a hybrid model at KSQ, develop interactions with CRO partners and align resources in a manner consistent with the organization’s priorities and objectives to build a strong portfolio of drug candidates
  • Takes ownership of design, execution and interpretation of critical studies as well as creation of high quality documents supporting regulatory filings
  • Provides strategic and scientific leadership on ADME and DMPK to enable discovery programs progression toward their milestones
  • Contributes broadly at the drug portfolio level and influences across departments and throughout the organization
  • Must be able to travel periodically, including internationally, to develop and foster collaborations with CRO partners
  • Develops and delivers scientific reports and presentations internally or externally as needed
  • Functions as a strategic and scientific leader as part of an interdisciplinary team contributing to the advancement and delivery of clinical candidates.
