Principal Scientist/Associate Director, Immuno-Oncology

KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Principal Scientist / Associate Director, Immuno-oncology position in Cambridge, MA. KSQ Therapeutics has built an industry-leading genome-scale precision functional genomics platform, called CRISPRomics, to pinpoint therapeutic nodes that directly correlate genomic function to disease with unprecedented certainty and speed. The company is deploying CRISPRomics for novel drug development across broad therapeutic areas and is advancing a proprietary pipeline of tumor- and immune-focused drug candidates for oncology. KSQ was founded by thought leaders in the field of functional genomics and pioneers of CRISPR screening technologies. The company is located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Position Summary

KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an exceptional project team lead to coordinate the drug discovery efforts for our Immuno-Oncology pipeline projects.  This position requires in-depth drug discovery experience required for rational and impactful decision making. The successful candidate will be required to interact with internal and external international and academic partners to translate discoveries into clinically transformative medicines. This person will directly influence the company’s efforts to translate our unique platform discoveries into novel drug discovery programs.

Key Qualifications

  • PhD in immunology or related discipline with postdoctoral fellowship
  • A strong publication record in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals in the areas of inflammation, autoimmunity, immuno-oncology and/or drug discovery
  • 7+ years of experience in a biopharmaceutical setting
  • Experience participating on and leading pre-clinical small molecule drug discovery projects to the clinic
  • Experience managing CROs
  • Expertise in standard immunological laboratory techniques preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for participating across functional groups and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, attention to detail, and team player mentality

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership across immuno-oncology pre-clinical drug projects and initiatives
  • Interface and manage internal functional groups and external CRO collaborators
  • Extend internal immunology capabilities through external industrial and academic collaborations
  • Develop and deliver scientific presentations and reports in a fast and efficient manner
  • Participate in various aspects of small company capability building

Compensation
