KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Associate Principal Scientist / Principal Scientist, Oncology  Discovery position in Cambridge, MA. KSQ Therapeutics has built an industry-leading genome-scale precision functional genomics platform, called CRISPRomics, to pinpoint therapeutic nodes that directly correlate genomic function to disease with unprecedented certainty and speed. The company is deploying CRISPRomics for novel drug development across broad therapeutic areas and is advancing a proprietary pipeline of tumor- and immune-focused drug candidates for oncology. KSQ was founded by thought leaders in the field of functional genomics and pioneers of CRISPR screening technologies. The company is located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Position Summary

KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an exceptional industry-trained program team lead to coordinate the discovery efforts for our pipeline projects.  This position requires in-depth discovery experience required for rational and impactful decision making. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating across multiple functional areas to find that ‘one from many’. This scientist will be required to interact with internal and external international and academic partners to translate discoveries into clinically transformative medicines. This person will directly influence the company’s efforts to translate our unique platform discoveries into novel discovery programs.

Key Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience in oncology drug discovery in an industry setting.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through hit finding and lead op required; experience with IND enabling efforts desired.
  • Experience coordinating and managing international CRO efforts highly desired;
  • Experience with conducting single agent & combination drug testing and prosecuting diverse areas of biology (signaling, biochemistry, gene expression etc.) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of immunology and genome engineering approaches is valuable but not required.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team.
  • Adaptability, commitment to scientific excellence, and team player mentality is a must.
