Software Engineer

KSQ Therapeutics has built an industry-leading genome-scale precision CRISPRomics platform to pinpoint novel therapeutic nodes with unprecedented certainty and speed. Leveraging the data generated by this platform, KSQ is advancing a proprietary pipeline of precision-medicine and immune-focused drug candidates to treat cancer. KSQ was founded by thought leaders in the field of functional genomics and pioneers of CRISPR screening technologies. The company is located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

KSQ Therapeutics is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Software Engineer to join the Computational Biology group. The successful applicant will work in a tight-knit, cross-functional team to help design and implement Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support internal drug discovery campaigns. In this role, you will contribute to the entire software development process: gather requirements, software design and implementation, quality assurance, and continued support. This role is an opportunity to join a passionate, collaborative, interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of software and information systems that facilitates the development of novel cancer therapies.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong programming ability 3+ years of programming experience
  • Fluency in Java
  • Familiar with collaborative software development
  • Experience with LIMS is a strong plus
  • Experience with unit and integration testing is a strong plus
  • Experience developing client facing applications is a plus
  • Experience with databases is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with end-users to gather application requirements
  • Design, implement, test, document and deploy new LIMS features
  • Use the Exemplar framework to manage the LIMS database schema, workflows, and processes
  • Leverage Exemplar LIMS API to create Java plugins for custom LIMS functionality
